B.A. in Economics, Wilson College, Mumbai M.A. in Regulatory Policy and Governance, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS)"

3 yrs experience
Professional Background

Completed B.A. in Economics from Wilson College, Mumbai, followed by M.A. in Regulatory Policy and Governance from TISS in 2022. During this period, developed a strong interest in governance, regulation, and development-related questions, particularly in the context of the Northeast. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Development Studies.

Conducted research on governance issues in small-scale industries, examining regulatory and institutional constraints shaping local economic outcomes. This engagement deepened my interest in development studies and policy-oriented analysis, particularly in understanding how governance influences development trajectories in peripheral regions.

Currently working in the development sector on UNDP-supported projects, engaging in programme implementation and policy processes. This experience has led me to critically examine the assumption that development constraints are primarily financial, instead focusing on institutional capacity, governance quality, and capability expansion. I continue to engage with development practice through academic frameworks and policy discussions.
